About The Position

ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical (DCMC) group provides client-centric engineering design services, specializing in enterprise, co-location, and hyper-scale design. They offer flexible, scalable solutions for mission-critical facilities and data centers, focusing on energy efficiency and operational reliability. Their services include pre- and post-construction design engineering, site evaluations, and infrastructure optimization. The DCMC group ensures transparent collaboration throughout all project phases, from assessment and planning to execution, with a focus on cohesion, accuracy, and adherence to schedule and budget. Their expertise covers electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering, commissioning, acceptance testing, and construction management. This internship empowers Electrical Engineering interns to make a real-world impact from day one. Interns will join a collaborative, innovative team working on projects that shape the future, such as modernizing the power grid, advancing renewable energy, or supporting nuclear and environmental safety. Interns will gain hands-on experience designing and evaluating electrical systems for power-generating facilities and learn how their work integrates with other engineering disciplines. Requirements

  • Graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2027 and June 2027.
  • A solid working foundation with core electrical engineering concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
  • Completion of pre-interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

  • Preferred Courses: Circuit Analysis (could be called Circuits I, Circuits II, Intro to Circuits, etc.), Power Systems (could be called Electric Power, Electric Machines, Power Systems, Power Engineering, etc.), and Control Systems.
