About The Position

This internship position is within the Information Security team in the Information & Data (I&D) Division. The intern will report to the Manager Aviation Information Security, who is part of the Head Information Security GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) & Aviation Partnership. The role involves supporting aviation cybersecurity initiatives, industry meetings, and study group activities. The intern will also conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats, regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the airline industry. Key activities include assisting in the development of cybersecurity guidance material, reports, presentations, and policy documents, as well as supporting advocacy for global aviation cybersecurity standards and regulatory harmonization. The role also entails assisting in the planning and execution of industry meetings and stakeholder engagement, preparing meeting documentation, and contributing to projects aligned with the team's needs and the intern's skill set. Maintaining knowledge repositories, collaboration platforms, and information-sharing resources, as well as supporting website content, are also part of the responsibilities. Additional duties may include supporting policy exceptions and security risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Recent university Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field (within one year of graduation)
  • Previous entry-level administrative work experience
  • Interest in technology, cybersecurity, and the aviation industry
  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent PC skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across different stages of initiatives
  • Customer-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills in a global environment
  • Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Supporting aviation cybersecurity initiatives, industry meetings, and study group activities
  • Conducting research on emerging cybersecurity threats, regulations, standards, and best practices impacting the airline industry
  • Assisting in the development of cybersecurity guidance material, reports, presentations, and policy documents
  • Supporting advocacy activities related to global aviation cybersecurity standards and regulatory harmonization
  • Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of industry meetings and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Preparing agendas, meeting minutes, action logs, and stakeholder communications
  • Contributing to a project aligned with your developing skill set and the needs of the Aviation Cybersecurity team
  • Helping maintain knowledge repositories, collaboration platforms, and cybersecurity information-sharing resources
  • Supporting the maintenance of the team's intranet and external site content
  • Performing additional duties as required, e.g. supporting the coordination of policy exception, security risk assessment tasks, and other team initiatives
