About The Position

The Intermodal Logistics Coordinator will provide quotes and routes for inland container movements, secure rates, and facilitate the inland movement of containers via Rail, Truck, and Barge. This role involves setting up invoices in SAP and transmitting rail bills.

Requirements

• High School Degree
• 3 years' experience preferred in various LOG operating positions.

• Bachelor's degree
• Logistics / Operation experience in Container Shipping industry

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate quotes/rates for intermodal freight, bids, and spot business.
• Support commercial efforts to maximize profitability by finding the most cost-effective and efficient routing for new and existing business.
• Recommend changes in routing when alternate routes are preferred.
• Negotiate rates with truckers for spot business and new routes.
• Update ZIMAPS quarterly and for missing costs as needed.
• Maintain routing and route preference order in IQ Ship. Create routes when auto routing is missing, expired, or not logical.
• Update costs in routes when missing.
• Manage changes to specific vendors/routing in day-to-day operations as required.
• Execute and manage rail billings, and resolve problems as they arise.
