Requirements

Minimum three (3) years’ dispatch experience in rail or road operations with temperature controlled product.
Superior organizational skills including time management, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and good judgement; proven ability to respond or escalate inquiries appropriately.
Ability to clearly communicate problems and solutions to others.
Proven ability to work independently is essential.
Proficient in critical thinking and decision-making.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external customers.
Driven to achieve high-levels of customer satisfaction.
Strong computer and analytics skills including superior knowledge of spreadsheet and related software.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma – Preferred
Certification in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.
Experience with TMW, Microsoft Excel, Telematics, CN One, Fleetlink, iBright, TK Tracking, would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of CN’s network including terminal abilities, challenges and cut-offs would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Complete daily tracking reports on high-value or temperature sensitive loads.
Monitor and action temperature discrepancies and troubleshoot reefer codes and failures in order to maintain product integrity.
Investigate delays, left-behinds, billing issues, etc. and report concerns to the appropriate parties; escalate rail transit delays as required.
Respond to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
Manage day-to-day and performing dispatch duties for Saskatchewan, Maritime Provinces and US loads.
Contribute to a positive work environment.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve operational issues.
Maintain data integrity for all orders including document scanning.
