This is an intermittent, temporary position within the Bureau of State Hearings (BSH) at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS). The BSH handles appeals from individuals who disagree with decisions made about their public benefits, ensuring everyone has a chance to present their case and receive a clear, timely decision. This role supports individuals receiving benefits such as Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Ohio Works First, Child Care, Child Support, Adoption Assistance, and Prevention Retention and Contingency. The final candidate will not be permitted to exceed 1,000 hours worked per fiscal year (July 1st - June 30th). This position is Unclassified per ORC 124.11(A) (29).
