We’re a dynamic, private in-home and online tutoring company dedicated to providing exceptional educational support across all subjects and grade levels. We are looking for in-home and in-person Intermediate Generalist Tutors to support students in Grades 4–10 across North Toronto and Downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded educator who is comfortable teaching multiple subjects and thrives on helping students succeed through engaging, personalized instruction. Qualified candidates will have experience tutoring or teaching intermediate-aged students and be comfortable providing in-home, in-person instruction, with the option to support students online as needed. Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum across core subject areas is essential.

Requirements

• Hold current, valid registration with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
• Are a certified teacher in Canada or the United States (or are in the process of becoming one).
• Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program.
• Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian or U.S. college or university.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students in Grades 4–10.
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum across multiple subject areas.
• Ability to confidently teach several core subjects rather than specializing in just one.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to students' homes in North Toronto and Downtown Toronto.
• A passion for helping students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and become independent learners.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with personalized academic support aligned with the Ontario curriculum for Grades 4–10.
• Tutor students across core subject areas, including Math, English, Science, Social Studies, French (where applicable), and study/organization skills.
• Develop customized learning plans that address each student's unique strengths, challenges, and academic goals.
• Help students strengthen foundational skills, improve confidence, and develop effective learning strategies.
• Provide remedial support for students who need extra help and enrichment opportunities for those seeking additional challenges.
• Prepare students for classroom assessments, projects, assignments, and tests.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and areas for improvement.
