About The Position

HGA is expanding its Sacramento, CA Interior Design practice and is looking for an Interior Designer to join our studio. At HGA, design is about more than aesthetics. As part of our collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you'll work alongside talented professionals who are reimagining the future of spaces we live, work and play in. We're seeking an Interior Designer with a strong design sensibility, technical aptitude, and a genuine desire to learn and grow. You'll contribute throughout the life of a project, from early visioning and planning through documentation and construction administration, helping bring innovative ideas to life. In this role you will: Work with Architects and Interior Designers to establish the design concept by translating programming requirements into design solutions that enhance the user experience and meet the project goals. Prepare plans, renderings, sketches, or other visual aids for design presentations. Research, select, and specify materials to support design goals and project’s technical requirements. Work on a wide variety of project types and scales. Versatility to adapt to a variety of collaborative design team settings is necessary. Perform technical aspects of the interior design process from project setup through to construction administration. Assist with Furniture planning, design and specification. Develop Artwork and Environmental Graphics concepts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited program.
6 - 10 years of professional experience in interior design, including prior Project Management experience.
Proficiency in Revit required.
Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail and motivation to learn.
Collaborative and professional work ethic.
Ability to take initiative and work both in a team environment and as an individual.
Attention to detail, organization skills and an ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Nice To Haves

NCIDQ or CID accreditation preferred.
Experience with SketchUp, Enscape desired.
Adobe Creative Suite desired.

Responsibilities

Participate in interior and architectural design development.
