About The Position

Round Room Live is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide maternity leave coverage from November 9, 2026 through April 30, 2027. This role will be an important member of our lean Finance team and will be responsible for maintaining continuity across our corporate finance, financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations, and management reporting activities during the leave period. The successful candidate will inherit well-documented processes, established reporting frameworks, and existing forecasting and budgeting templates to support a smooth transition and enable them to quickly step into the role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple entities and currencies, and operating in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines. This person will work closely with the EVP of Finance and other members of the Finance team, as well as senior leadership and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting, corporate finance, FP&A, or financial reporting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes from end to end.
  • Experience with multi-entity and/or multi-currency accounting and consolidations.
  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting and accounting systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, judgment, and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small Finance team and senior leadership.
  • Experience working with Quickbooks Online.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude in a finance or accounting context, or a clear appetite to build that capability.
  • CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting/finance designation.
  • Experience working within entertainment, live events, media, gaming, or a related industry.
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed organizations or businesses with complex reporting requirements.
  • Experience with multi-currency consolidations.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting automation tools, including LiveFlow or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial documentation.
  • Maintain appropriate controls, documentation, and review trails to support reporting accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare weekly & monthly management reporting packages and financial dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Support variance analysis, KPI reporting, and performance management reporting.
  • Manage multi-entity and multi-currency financial reporting and consolidations, including entities operating in CAD, EUR, and GBP.
  • Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial results across the organization.
  • Support reporting requirements associated with Round Room Live's various productions, entities, and business activities.
  • Preparing and issuing royalty reporting across the licensing portfolio.
  • Support investor, ownership, and stakeholder reporting requirements.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports requested by senior leadership and external partners.
  • Support month-end and supplemental reporting for various IP, including adherence to listed-company reporting deadlines.
  • Deliver the 2027 budget, building on the model and assumptions already prepared.
  • Prepare financial analysis to assist leadership with understanding business performance, trends, and variances.
  • Maintain and utilize existing financial reporting and planning tools, including automated reporting processes.
  • Prepare US & Canada tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors regarding corporate tax requirements.
  • Assist with financial compliance, and other reporting requests as needed.
  • Conduct or support technical accounting research and documentation related to US GAAP requirements.
  • Partner closely with the EVP of Finance and Finance team to ensure continuity of financial operations throughout the maternity leave period.
  • Provide cross-functional financial support and respond to reporting and analysis requests from senior management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when working with sensitive financial, compliance, and business information.

Benefits

  • 5%–8% completion bonus based on base salary earned during the assignment, payable upon successful completion of the fixed-term engagement through April 30, 2027.
