About The Position

This project-based role supports a variety of clients with accounting and finance tasks. The position may serve clients in Controller, CFO, or Project Leader capacities and may involve multiple client stakeholders, financial reporting, close oversight, due diligence, SEC reporting, and accounting issue resolution. The role also supports implementation of new accounting pronouncements, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and helps create, document, and improve processes. The posting identifies NetSuite implementation in the role title and lists experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; accounting focus preferred.
• At least 10 years of accounting-related experience required.
• Experience working with public, private, or private equity companies required.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP required.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
• Technical skills commensurate with experience.
• Professionalism under pressure; teamwork; willingness to contribute knowledge and ask for help; ability to learn quickly and work ethically and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels of client and internal organizations.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to travel at least 50% is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients in various capacities, including Controller, CFO, or Project Leader.
• Manage multiple client stakeholders simultaneously.
• Prepare miscellaneous accounting reports.
• Participate in and lead ad hoc projects.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Perform due diligence procedures for clients.
• Assist clients with SEC reporting.
• Resolve complex accounting issues and assist clients with implementing accounting pronouncements, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Ensure work is accurate and follows the correct technical approach.
• Create and document processes, and suggest and implement process improvements.
• Recognize and offer clients appropriate additional BDO services.
• Perform other duties as required.
