About The Position

To provide instructional leadership/support the instructional program while gaining the experience, knowledge, and skills necessary to become an administrator of ISANA Academies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; and California Teaching Credential; CLAD or BCLAD
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience in the elementary or secondary level
  • Minimum of two years as a Curriculum Specialist and/or experience in collaborative planning and delivery of differentiated staff development to classroom practitioners; literacy training, knowledge of differentiated classroom instructional practices that promote student academic success; knowledge and understanding of the needs of a diverse student population
  • Administrators in Training are required to poses all knowledge, skills and abilities that are required of curriculum specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor implementation of instructional program.
  • Regularly analyze both academic and operational data and use that analysis to drive instruction and operations at the school.
  • Participate in a cooperative effort with faculty and staff to plan, implement and evaluate programs of continuing school improvement.
  • Work with administrators and instructional teams to plan and implement hands-on programs and activities for students and the school.
  • Develop teachers through coaching.
  • Assist in planning and conducting professional development for certificated and classified staff.
  • Supervise classified staff, including Academic Interventionists and yard supervisors.
  • Maintain a positive school environment, including positive discipline and safety for students.
  • Monitor and advance student engagement, recruitment and enrollment.
  • Maintain professional relationship between school and parents.
  • Assist with running school operations to ensure .
  • Monitor and manage facilities’ needs to ensure school safety.
  • Attend special education meetings and understand the special education program.
  • Coordinate special events.
  • Monitor implementation of state standardized testing (ELPAC, CAASPP, PFT).
  • Follow federal and state laws, as well as the letter and the spirit of the Charter and the Governing Board policies and directives from the Principal.
  • Other duties as assigned.
