About The Position

The Interface Architect leads the design, planning, and implementation of clinical and enterprise data interface solutions across EvergreenHealth’s IT ecosystem. The role provides technical leadership and architectural guidance for integration technologies that support EMR interoperability, clinical workflows, and operational data exchange. As a senior technical lead, the Interface Architect mentors technical staff and drives reliable, scalable, and secure interface solutions. The position works with Enterprise Architecture, application teams, clinical stakeholders, and vendors to align integration strategies with organizational standards, regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, and patient safety priorities. It bridges legacy and modern integration patterns—including HL7 messaging, FHIR APIs, REST-based services, batch data exchange, and interface engine platforms—to enable interoperability across internal and external healthcare systems. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and at least 10 years of experience in healthcare interface development, systems integration, or interoperability engineering. It also requires at least 7 years designing and supporting HL7-based clinical interfaces and real-time healthcare data exchange, and at least 5 years working with interface engines and data transformation logic or scripting. A master’s degree and experience with FHIR, API-driven interoperability, vendor SaaS integrations, batch SFTP workflows, and technical governance are desired.
