About The Position

Pella Corporation is seeking motivated engineering students for our Intelligent Engineering Co-Op in Pella, Iowa. This co-op provides hands-on experience supporting engineering initiatives through meaningful projects that contribute to quality, cost, delivery, and operational performance objectives. Co-op students work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while developing technical, analytical, and professional skills in a real-world environment. The extended duration of the co-op allows participants to gain deeper project ownership, see projects through multiple phases of implementation, and build a stronger understanding of how engineering technologies support business objectives. If you're interested in applying engineering principles, solving technical challenges, and gaining experience similar to that of an entry-level engineer, we'd love to connect with you.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred
  • Strong academic standing
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, or involvement through campus organizations, work experience, athletics, volunteer activities, or other experiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to learn new technologies, systems, and engineering tools
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or co-op experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support projects focused on improving quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance
  • Apply engineering principles and problem-solving techniques to assigned projects and tasks
  • Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
  • Utilize engineering tools, technologies, and processes to deliver project results
  • Analyze data and communicate findings and recommendations
  • Gain exposure to Pella's application of engineering technologies and business systems
  • Develop technical, professional, and leadership skills through project ownership and collaboration
