Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. As a member of the Common Simulation Environment team, you'll be an active member of the development effort on multiple Avionics programs. You'll be a member of a scrum team, continually looking to improve, that values the input of all members. You'll get hands on experience troubleshooting on the System Integration Laboratory, gaining real-world experience.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience with Python scripting

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test applications to simulate the behavior of avionics sensors to support the development and testing of Collins Avionics products.
  • Aid the development team in the debugging of laboratory issues to determine root cause and propose potential solutions to the discovered problems.
  • Effectively interacts and networks with teammates, management, and customers.
  • Support the Program Lead(s) with budget and schedule data for our work on a given program to help ensure the successful completion of a Collins Avionics program.
  • Work with a team of dedicated engineers to help shape the future of the avionics simulation platform.
