Systems Engineering Co-op (Summer/Fall 2027) - Onsite
About The Position
This Systems Engineering Co-op position is for Summer/Fall 2027 and is an onsite role. The co-op will involve determining full avionics system requirements, developing system design documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable certification regulations. Participants will gain experience in planning and tracking work using engineering tools, writing requirements, developing design documentation, and verifying requirements, as well as collaborating with large multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Requirements
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves
- Past aviation experience (such as being a pilot or aircraft maintainer)
- Personal project experience related to building or working with complex systems
- Experience with technical writing such as undergraduate research papers.
- Previous project leadership and communication/coordination roles.
Responsibilities
- Determines full avionics system requirements for avionics systems
- Develops system design documentation such as interface control definitions, hardware interconnect definitions, and human machine interface documentation
- Develops and executes verification procedures for laboratory testing of avionics
- Ensures compliance to applicable certification regulations
