About The Position

The Integration Value Capture Leader is a key contributor to the Business Integrations Team responsible for supporting synergy identification, quantification, financial impact and tracking across all VSE Aviation acquisitions. Working under the direction of the VP of Business Integrations, this role conducts post-close analyses, builds value capture plans, and partners with business unit leaders to help execute initiatives across cost take-outs, commercial synergies, product and service alignment, and operational efficiencies. This individual will support structured, rapid post-close assessments and help translate findings into executable plans with defined dollar outcomes, owners, and timelines. The role supports the disciplined tracking and reporting of synergy realization against targets established by integration leadership. Working closely with integration leadership, business unit leaders, and acquired company teams, this role contributes to the disciplined execution of initiatives such as procurement savings, best practice adoption, expanded market offerings, sales and customer synergies, product rationalization, and insourcing opportunities. Success in this role is defined by analytical rigor, collaboration, and dependable execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, operational finance, procurement, supply chain, or M&A integration support.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct complex financial and operational analyses and translate findings into actionable business cases.
  • Experience identifying and quantifying cost savings or value creation opportunities in a multi-entity or multi-site environment.
  • Strong financial modeling skills; robust proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear materials for senior and executive audiences.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and acquired company counterparts.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or related field.
  • Prior experience in a post-merger integration, synergy realization, or value capture role at a public company or within a management consulting practice.
  • Background in aerospace, aviation MRO, distribution, or industrial services.
  • Familiarity with indirect procurement categories including freight, chemicals, facilities services, and MRO/consumables.
  • Experience working across acquisitions of varying sizes ($10M–$2B enterprise value).
  • Exposure to global operations and cross-border procurement or logistics optimization.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct post-close value capture assessments for each acquisition under the direction of the VP, identifying and quantifying actionable opportunities across cost, revenue, and operational levers.
  • Identify, quantify, and help drive hard-dollar synergies, including: Cost reductions (procurement, logistics, facilities, SG&A), Commercial and customer synergies (cross-sell, expanded offerings, pricing/margin improvement), Product and service alignment opportunities, Insourcing and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Help translate opportunities into execution-ready value capture plans, including: Clear financial impact, Defined owners and accountability, Milestones and timelines.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and acquired company teams to support implementation, escalate barriers to the VP, and help keep initiatives on track.
  • Build and maintain tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor synergy realization against targets, in partnership with the VP of Business Integrations.
  • Contribute analysis to support integrated go-to-market strategies that unlock revenue synergies and expand customer offerings.
  • Prepare regular, fact-based updates and reporting packages on value capture progress, risks, and corrective actions for review by the VP and senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the refinement of playbooks and approaches to improve speed and effectiveness of integration and value realization across future acquisitions.
  • Prepare reporting packages, opportunity analyses, and progress updates for the VP of Integrations, including materials that feed into executive, steering committee, and board-level reporting.
  • Apply and help evolve standard frameworks for value capture analysis across acquisitions of varying sizes.
  • Collaborate with the broader integration team to sequence and coordinate value capture initiatives alongside operational and systems integration workstreams.
