As part of GE Vernova Wind Engineering, the Blade subsystem team has responsibility for the design and support of wind blade components and systems. In this role on the Blade Integration & Management team you will work with experts in composite wind blade design, as well as support cross-functional teams in manufacturing and fleet support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience in wind, automotive, or aviation.
• Candidates who apply for this position must be willing to work in a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence Monday through Thursday in the Greenville office, with the option to work remotely on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Align with Systems Engineering & Product Line colleagues to define product requirements and communicate to cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with Materials, Component, and Structural Design Engineering teams to develop Design FMEA; own review & approval with Chief Engineer.
• Develop and manage risk mitigation through product validation plan; including full-scale test blade & uptower prototype blades.
• Align with transportation, installation, and fleet services teams to ensure risk mitigation for full life-cycle.
• Ensure design reviews are in accordance with GE Vernova Wind Engineering best practices.
• Maintain blade design load envelope and coordinate with Systems Loads team for changes to load configurations.
• Ensure lessons learned and safety/quality improvements are integrated into the design process.
• Support blade factory & field quality issue resolution.
• Own technology implementation into NPI blade design.
• Provide technical underwriting on new blade designs and design changes.
