Integrated Student Support & Transportation Specialist
About The Position
Rolling V Bus Corp. is hiring for a collaborative job-share role combining school-based student support with student transportation. The employee will spend part of the day in a school building and part operating a route for the transportation vendor. School-based duties may include tutoring or para-professional support, student engagement, campus logistics, and assistance for students with diverse learning needs. Transportation duties include driving a school bus or special needs van, helping ensure students are safely secured and comfortable on van routes, and performing standard vehicle safety inspections while keeping the vehicle clean and welcoming. The typical schedule includes driving students to school in the morning, working in the school building mid-day, and transporting students home in the afternoon. Six weeks of comprehensive paid driver training are provided for candidates who need a CDL. The role is offered in Liberty, Ellenville, Livingston Manor, Neversink, South Fallsburg, and Walton. Pay is up to $27.00 per hour, based on experience and route.
Requirements
- A genuine desire to help students succeed in and out of the classroom.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and background check.
- Strong time-management skills and reliability when transitioning between school and transportation duties.

- Some college credits, preferred for para-professional roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small-group academic support in classrooms as a para-professional or tutor.
- Support student engagement as an aide, coach, or club advisor.
- Assist with campus operations, including cafe or cafeteria support and monitoring student transitions.
- Assist students with diverse learning needs during the school day.
- Operate a school bus or special needs van to transport students safely and reliably.
- For van routes, ensure students with mobility or behavioral needs are safely secured and comfortable.
- Perform standard vehicle safety inspections and maintain a clean, welcoming vehicle.
- Transition between school-based duties and transportation duties according to the daily schedule.
