About The Position

Program planning is the backbone of successful, complex projects. Planners translate strategic goals into detailed, time‑phased schedules, identify risks, and provide the data that leaders need to make informed decisions. This role gives you the chance to sharpen those skills, learn industry leading tools, and grow a career that directly supports national defense and aerospace innovation. This position will support the Missile Defense & Space Surveillance (MD&SS) and/or the Anti-Submarine Warfare Acoustics Sensors and Weapons (ASW2) portfolio of programs. Assist Program Planning leads in establishing and executing business rhythms required to accomplish program control, analyses and forecasting objectives. Utilizing applicable project management tools, implement network logic and measurement methods to perform critical path and risk analyses. Participate and assist in program and functional meetings that support on‑going business performance requirements. Communicate schedule impacts and propose corrective actions to applicable stakeholders. Implement, maintain, and manage planning products in support of planning processes. Support independent network analyses resulting in reports and metrics. Assist with data and process quality assessments of planning products and preparation for surveillance reviews to ensure compliance with program performance management, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in a planning tool with the ability to learn new scheduling tools such as Deltek OpenPlan, MS Project, or comparable platforms.
  • Proven skill in managing multiple tasks, tracking detailed information, and keeping projects on schedule.
  • Comfortable presenting data, explaining schedule impacts, and influencing diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, absorb new concepts quickly, and contribute constructively within a team.
  • Experience in a transferable industry (e.g., construction, aerospace, manufacturing, education, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, or product launch)
  • Military or defense background with operations/logistics planning experience is a strong plus
