The Civil Rights Compliance Office (CRC) within Compliance and Risk Services (CRS) is responsible for compliance with civil rights laws and University policy. The Intake Specialist and Case Manager performs intake and case management of concerns reported to CRC involving discrimination and harassment based on protected characteristics, and sexual misconduct, and offers support and accommodation related to pregnancy and related conditions. The Civil Rights Case Manager provides support to UW students, employees, and others participating or attempting to participate in UW activities by explaining complaint processes and alternative resolution options; offering, facilitating, and documenting supportive measures; and offering, facilitating, and documenting pregnancy accommodations and adjustments. The Case Manager also maintains contact with and supports individuals participating in civil rights investigation or resolution processes. In addition, the Case Manager collaborates on outreach and education efforts, represents CRC on committees and at University events, and provides other programmatic support.
