About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Intake Nurse (RN) for first shift at its residential facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role manages the complete medical intake process to support clients’ transition into treatment, performs nursing duties, coordinates medication and pharmacy needs, collaborates with care teams, and maintains accurate medical documentation. The facility is a 144-bed detox and residential rehabilitation center providing addiction treatment and comprehensive medical care.

Requirements

• Minimum one-year diploma program completed after high school.
• Current licensure to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Addiction-related experience required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently.
• Compassionate and dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment.
• Complete nursing shift duties, including taking vitals, conducting drug screens, and scheduling appointments and lab work.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain accurate medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation for each client.
