About The Position

Care IV Home Health, a locally owned and operated home health agency, seeks a full-time Intake Customer Service Representative. This is a full-time office-based role with excellent benefits located at our corporate headquarters in Little Rock, AR. As an Intake Customer Service Rep, you would report to our Intake Manager. This is a role that requires a great deal of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and solid computer skills. A friendly demeanor and the ability to multitask are also important. The general office hours for this position are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Three to five professional references that can attest to your skills and experience in a medical office setting.
Recent experience working in a clinic or other professional medical office setting is required, with a minimum of one year of experience.
A solid history of excellent customer service in an office setting.
Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of office machinery (computers, multi-line phones, fax machines, email, etc.) are essential.
Knowledge of medical terminology is a must-have skill.
A COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment (absent reasonable accommodations).

Nice To Haves

Experience with patient intake and processing new patient referrals is preferred.
Experience in a Home Health office is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Answering phone calls from potential home health patients and referral sources, such as hospital case managers and physician's offices.
Describing Care IV's home health service options to patients and referral sources.
Over the phone, evaluating and determining whether the patient is suitable for home health care.
Verify that their payer source is in the network with Care IV.
Sending and receiving faxes with vital supporting documentation, signed orders, etc.
Following up with physicians, clinics, long-term care facilities, hospitals, etc.
Coordinating new patient onboarding with our marketing team to ensure satisfactory customer service to the referral sources and our patients.
Inputting new patient data into the computer system and assisting the RN with tracking and data reporting.
