Local Infusion ensures comprehensive support for patients and care teams throughout the infusion journey. This role is for an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, referred to as an "Infusion Guide," who is dedicated to elevating infusion therapy care. The Infusion Guide will support the company's expansion by managing referral and intake coordination and providing excellent customer and physician service to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care. This is a Full-Time, onsite position primarily based in Florida, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience reading medical charts and handling insurance pre-authorizations. This role offers predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload, making it suitable for those interested in healthcare innovation.
Requirements
- Health Care Experience Required
- Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
- Medical Terminology Experience
- Overall Medical Insurance Experience
- Ability to quickly grasp new apps
- Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Documentation of a negative TB test (within the last two years)
- Current BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
- Hepatitis B and influenza vaccination records are also requested as part of the onboarding process.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
- Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
- Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
- Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
