About The Position
The Intake Coordinator Supervisor coordinates the intake, placement, and evaluation of children from initial contact with parents through CPSE meetings. The role serves as a liaison between the Early Learning Center and CPSE/CSE Administrators for children attending the Early Learning Center. The position is based at the Bronx Early Learning Center, a special education preschool in Bronx, New York.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Special Education and/or Early Childhood Education.
- New York State certification in Special Education N/K-12 and/or Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the initial intake process for evaluations and referrals to CPSE, including scheduling meetings with the CPSEs.
- Monitor the evaluation schedule to ensure evaluations are completed within mandated timelines.
- Liaise with outside community-based organizations to establish referral connections for evaluations and other services.
- Follow up with consultants and professional staff to ensure required evaluations are completed and administrative paperwork is submitted within mandated timelines.
- Supervise the Assistant Intake Coordinator and the Intake Assistant.
- Prepare and update class lists of children.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
