About The Position

This position involves completing intake assessments with consumers, actively participating in staff meetings, making appropriate referrals, maintaining consumer service clinical records, and building relationships with community partners. The role requires sustaining a high level of professional competence through continuing education and clinical supervision, maintaining professional credentialing, and adhering to ethical standards and agency policies. The position also requires regular and predictable attendance and may involve other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Hear, speak and write English clearly.
  • Vision adequate to observe clients and make chart entries.
  • Defined by license type; see staff credentials.
  • Detail oriented, good interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and good problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency insurance guidelines as this position requires ability to drive to agency centers and local community partner sites in order to meet the needs of consumers and the community.
  • Pass a criminal background and driver's license check to the satisfaction of SCMH

Responsibilities

  • Complete Intake Assessments with consumers including presenting problem, relevant history addressed.
  • Make appropriate referrals as directed by clinician.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and provide updates and clinically relevant information to regular treatment team staff.
  • Complete appropriate referrals after assessments.
  • Maintain consumer service clinical records routinely and in a timely manner.
  • Document all services provided in a clear and professional manner.
  • Be aware of local community resources and build relationships with community partners that may assist consumers coming in for services.
  • Sustain a high level of professional competence through continuing education and clinical supervision.
  • Maintain all professional credentialing requirements.
  • Adhere to the standards of ethics for mental health professionals.
  • Follow all policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Provide other duties as assigned.
