About The Position

Provide direct clinical services including diagnostic assessment, individual, family, and group therapies, crisis intervention, and collateral intervention. Services are primarily in a school setting but may include community-based settings. Develop treatment plans in cooperation with clients, families, and treatment team members, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, state, and federal regulations. Participate in various meetings, including departmental, program treatment team, staff, training, supervision, school-based family service or referral meetings, IEP & 504 conferences, parent-teacher conferences, open houses, in-service trainings, and school/district committees. Collaborate with administrative support and utilization review staff for scheduling, authorizations, and transfers/discharges. Complete all clinical and administrative processes, including documentation, in compliance with relevant regulations (Medicaid, Joint Commission, insurance, etc.) regarding assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, billing, and direct care expectations. Maintain timely communication with supervisors, colleagues, clients, families, schools, courts, and other professionals. Coordinate with internal and external professionals and programs for optimal client treatment, including transfers and referrals. Assist in maintaining compliance with state and federal licensing and accreditation regulations. Maintain professional licensure through required continuing education.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
  • Licensed, in good standing, by Arkansas Professional Board as an LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LPE, LPE-I, PhD
  • Ability to document accurately and professionally
  • Must be physically capable of receiving verbal and written directions
  • Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, CPR & First Aid
  • Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health, regardless of gender
  • Must have good auditory, visual, and olfactory ability
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
  • Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart, or other treatment items
  • Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Flu vaccination is mandatory and required for all positions (subject only to qualified exemptions).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental and program treatment team meetings, staff meetings, training, and supervision.
  • Participates in school-based family service or referral meetings, IEP & 504 conferences, parent-teacher conferences, open houses, in-service trainings, school, and district committees.
  • Work with administrative support and utilization review staff to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing authorizations for services, and transfers/discharges.
  • Complete all clinical and administrative processes, including documentation, in compliance with organization, department and program policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations (Medicaid, Joint Commission, insurance, etc.) as it relates to content and timeframes for assessments, treatment plans and review, progress notes, services provided, billing, meeting direct care expectations, etc.
  • Provide timely communication verbally and in writing with supervisor, colleagues, clients, families, schools, courts, other professionals within and outside the organization, etc.
  • Work with other professionals and programs within the MFH continuum of care and/or other outside organizations and agencies to coordinate the best and most appropriate treatment for MFH clients including transfers and referrals to other programs or agencies as needed.
  • Assist in preparation for, and help maintain compliance with state and federal licensing and accreditation regulations (i.e., Medicaid, Joint Commission, Dept. of Human Services, Dept. of Health, etc.) as appropriate and needed.
  • Maintain professional licensure by completing required continuing education and providing copies of updated license and CEU certificates to Human Resources.
