About The Position

Provide direct clinical services in school-based settings, including diagnostic assessment, individual, family, and group therapies, and crisis intervention. Services may also extend to clinic and community-based settings as needed, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Develop and update treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and treatment teams, adhering to organizational policies and regulations. Participate in team meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision. Coordinate with administrative support for scheduling, authorizations, and client transitions. Complete all clinical and administrative processes, including documentation, in compliance with relevant regulations (Medicaid, Joint Commission, etc.) and timeframes. Maintain timely communication with supervisors, colleagues, clients, families, schools, and other professionals. Coordinate care with internal and external professionals and agencies for optimal client treatment. Assist in maintaining compliance with state and federal licensing and accreditation regulations. Maintain professional licensure through required continuing education. Specific to school-based roles, participate in family service meetings, IEP & 504 conferences, parent-teacher conferences, and provide consultation to school staff. Assist in evaluating students in crisis who may require hospitalization and provide ongoing support to teachers, principals, and counselors.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Licensed, in good standing, by Arkansas Professional Board as an LCSW, LMSW, PLMSW, LPC, LAC, LPE-I, LPE, PhD
  • Ability to document accurately and professionally
  • Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions
  • Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, CPR & First Aid
  • Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health, regardless of gender
  • Must have good auditory, visual, and olfactory ability
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
  • Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart, or other treatment items
  • Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach with hands and arms.
  • Flu vaccinations are mandatory and required for all positions (subject to qualified exemptions).

  • Trauma Focused CBT certified or in progress

Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental and program treatment team meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
  • Work with administrative support and utilization review staff to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing authorizations for services, and transfers/discharges.
  • Complete all clinical and administrative processes, including documentation, in compliance with organization, department, and program policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Provide timely communication verbally and in writing with supervisor, colleagues, clients, families, schools, courts, and other professionals.
  • Work with other professionals and programs within the MFH continuum of care and/or other outside organizations and agencies to coordinate treatment.
  • Assist in preparation for, and help to maintain compliance with state and federal licensing and accreditation regulations.
  • Maintain professional licensure by completing required continuing education.
  • Participate in school-based family service or referral meetings, IEP & 504 conferences, parent-teacher conferences, open houses, in-service trainings, school, and district committees.
  • Assist with evaluating students in the district, not MFH clients, who are in crisis and may need acute hospitalization.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and support to teachers, principals, and counselors.
