About The Position
Southeastern Directions for Life is hiring a full-time Intake Assistant for Community Support Services (CSS) at its Cliff location. The position provides new-client screening, scheduling, and intake services. It involves communicating with referral sources and gathering information from individuals and families seeking services. The Intake Assistant ensures intake information is completed in the Electronic Health Record and provides Supervisors, Therapists, and Case Managers with necessary information about new clients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in one of the helping professions.
- Demonstrated skill and competence in mental health practice.
- Ability to work with other mental health staff and consumers in individual and group settings.
- Ability to provide services in a manner and environment that enhances personal dignity.
- Current driver’s license, car insurance, and a driving record acceptable to Southeastern’s insurance provider.
- Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Screen new clients and provide intake services.
- Schedule appointments as part of the intake process.

- Ensure intake information is completed in the Electronic Health Record.
- Provide Supervisors, Therapists, and Case Managers with necessary information about new clients.
