Intake/Admissions Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a full-time Intake/Admissions Registered Nurse to support patients seeking behavioral health treatment. The nurse conducts initial clinical assessments, gathers medical histories, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate levels of care. The role also includes educating patients and families about treatment plans and facility policies, using strong communication, critical-thinking, and crisis-intervention skills. This is a 36-hour-per-week night-shift position, Friday through Sunday, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. New graduates are welcome to apply. The position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus, full benefits, and a convenient schedule. Overtime and covering other shifts are available for interested employees. Attendance is required at full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Week 2, Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment for adults, children, and adolescents. It is a 133-bed acute psychiatric care facility in Flowood, Mississippi, accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in Mississippi.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, and crisis-intervention skills.
- Must attend the specified full hospital and departmental orientation sessions.
