Provides direct service to a caseload of ten to fifteen families, subject to DCFS contract. This role involves providing individual, parent, and family support services, including education and modeling of skills in parenting, child care, communication, household management, and other needed areas. The caseworker will monitor assigned cases weekly, aggressively provide linkages to services as required by families, and develop parts of the family service plan as directed. Additionally, the role includes providing home management services, filling in for peers when necessary, and offering concrete services, advocacy, and other networking and supportive activities on behalf of families. Non-traditional and varied activities may be provided to meet family needs. Indirect services include active participation in the continuous Quality Improvement program, completing required documentation, developing and maintaining relationships with collateral agencies, maintaining confidentiality, participating in staff and case monitoring meetings, engaging in professional development, and maintaining daily contact with a supervisor.
