About The Position

Clear Lakes Dental is seeking a full-time Insurance Verifier/ Biller for its dental practice serving patients of all ages. The role handles medical billing-related activities, including claims submission and follow-up, payment posting, denials management, refunds, claims reconciliation, insurance verification, and quality tracking. The employee provides customer service to patients and insurance personnel. No prior experience is required for the role, and the company provides fully paid training. Compensation is $17.00 per hour. The position is non-exempt and hourly. The stated schedule is 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, with a one-hour lunch break, rotating.

Requirements

One year of customer service experience.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong.
Medical billing or medical insurance experience.

Responsibilities

Verify and coordinate insurance coverage.
Accurately enter billing charges from providers and submit claims to insurance companies.
Assist patients with account issues.
Resolve medical billing issues with insurance carriers and resubmit claims as needed.
Investigate denied claims, help resolve them, and forward for prior authorizations as required.
Assist with past-due bills or arrange patient payment plans.
Proactively assist Patient Care Coordinators and Front Desk Reception.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Complete claims follow-up, payment posting, denials management, refunds, claims reconciliation, insurance verification, and quality tracking.
