About The Position

Clear Lakes Dental is seeking a full-time Insurance Verifier to support its dental practice, which treats patients of all ages. The role handles medical billing-related activities, including claims submission and follow-up, payment posting, denial management, refunds, claims reconciliation, insurance verification, and quality tracking. The Insurance Verifier provides customer service to patients and insurance personnel. No prior experience is required for the position, and the employer provides fully paid training. The position is non-exempt and hourly, with compensation of $17.00. Work hours are 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, with a one-hour rotating lunch break.

Requirements

One year of customer service experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Computer proficiency.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong.
Medical billing or medical insurance experience; this is not required.

Responsibilities

Verify and coordinate insurance coverages.
Enter providers’ billing charges accurately and submit claims to insurance companies.
Assist patients with account issues.
Resolve billing issues with insurance carriers and resubmit claims as needed.
Investigate denied claims, help resolve them, and forward claims for prior authorization as required.
Help resolve past-due bills or arrange patient payments.
Proactively assist Patient Care Coordinators and Front Desk Reception.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
