About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is seeking a Full Time Insurance Verifier to join their team. This is an onsite role at their Arlington Hospital, with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Insurance Verifier will interface with patients, families, physicians, and staff, update patient demographics in the system, verify insurance benefits, obtain proper authorization from insurance carriers, determine funds to collect upon admission, and notify patients of monies due. Other duties may be assigned as required or requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years’ previous experience hospital insurance verification required.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
- Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer Knowledge-Word and Excel preferred
Responsibilities

- Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system.
- Other duties as required or requested by chain of command.
