About The Position

KKR's Insurance Segment Accounting Operations team is responsible for producing timely and accurate financial results for business stakeholders, ensuring a strong control environment, and operationalizing significant transactions from an accounting standpoint. This team comprises professionals committed to excellence, timeliness, and effective collaboration across the enterprise, working across multiple locations to ensure the highest quality of financial results. They collaborate closely with other teams in Finance, Operations, and Institutional groups, prioritizing a culture of excellence, grit, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in accounting or related field
  • 4-8 years of related work experience with recent experience in insurance industry
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in GAAP accounting standards and practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Critical thinking with a strategic mindset

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing key accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting regulatory compliance within KKR’s Insurance Segment while coordinating with other areas across the organization.
  • Ensuring processes support organizational needs, proposing improvements in the operational framework, and driving efficiency initiatives.
  • Performing monthly and/or quarterly closing procedures, including preparation and posting of reinsurance journal entries, performing account reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • Supporting treaty administration, including settlements, cash movements, and statement validation.
  • Assisting in reviewing treaty documentation for accuracy against contract terms.
  • Maintaining standard reinsurance reports for internal management and regulatory use.
  • Collaborating with actuarial, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment on reinsurance balances and reserves.
  • Serving as accounting support during onboarding of new transactions.
  • Supporting ongoing automation and finance transformation projects.
  • Assisting with audit requests and maintaining control documentation.
  • Participating in special projects with cross-functional impact.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc requests, as needed.
