About The Position

Integris Insurance Services, a subsidiary of Coastal Community Credit Union, is seeking a permanent, full-time Insurance Representative 3 to join their team at the McBride Branch. This role involves servicing a wide range of personal lines insurance products, including homes, recreational vehicles, marine policies, mobile homes, and farm coverage. Depending on experience, the representative may also manage complex commercial risks like commercial auto and fleet programs. The position is ideal for experienced professionals who can conduct independent risk assessments and manage client portfolios with minimal supervision, providing expert advice, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Valid Level 2 Insurance License (Level 3 eligible considered an asset).
  • Minimum continuing education credits mandatory for licensing
  • Familiarity with all aspects of personal lines. Commercial lines knowledge considered an asset.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of ICBC and personal lines; commercial exposure considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and member service skills.
  • Comfortable working independently with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in insurance software and broker management system.
  • Ability to interact with members clearly and effectively.
  • Accuracy in handling financial transactions and member information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service by processing insurance transactions and addressing member inquiries.
  • Conduct needs assessments and recommends suitable insurance products and coverages.
  • Manage policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and licensing transactions including ICBC transactions.
  • Apply underwriting guidelines and assess risk, identifying any fraud or security concerns.
  • Support administrative tasks when needed such as supply inventory, batching, and basic reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to the rest of the insurance team, including on-the-job training as required.
