About The Position

Horace Mann is hiring an Insurance Producer to help educators address financial challenges through insurance and other tailored solutions. The producer receives mentorship from an experienced agent and training, and can leverage established books of business while building an independent practice serving a niche educator market. The role offers a multi-line product portfolio, streamlined sales processes, value-added services, and opportunities to grow professional connections through community, networking, and industry events. Compensation is performance-based and described as 1099, with enhanced commissions, uncapped earnings, a 36-month incentive plan, monthly sales-volume incentives, quarterly production bonuses, and a sign-on bonus. The work may be performed in person, in the field, and/or from an office setting; no external office is required. A mentor agent provides guidance and accountability.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Self-motivation and ability to manage an independent business.
Ability to obtain or currently hold state Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses.
