About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking an Insurance Marketing Analyst Lead for their Employee Health & Benefits division. This role involves analyzing client needs, providing recommendations on coverage and marketing strategies, collaborating with Producers on sales efforts, and maintaining relationships with insurance carriers. The position requires staying informed on market trends, negotiating pricing and policy terms, leading the renewal process, and utilizing client management systems. Continuous professional development, mentoring colleagues, and supporting team success are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • At least five years in the insurance industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance markets, policies, and coverage issues across all states and industries served.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage workload, guide teams, and foster a productive, service-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion abilities to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and motivate staff.
  • High level of discretion and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Accept accountability for the quality of work.

Nice To Haves

  • Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Advanced degree(s).
  • Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license(s).
  • Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for the team, analyzing client needs and providing well-supported recommendations on coverage and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Producers to assist in sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with insurance carriers through various communication channels.
  • Stay informed on market trends and risk transfer alternatives.
  • Coordinate with local leadership to align line-of-business strategies and promote best practices.
  • Skillfully negotiate pricing and policy terms with carriers, ensuring the best fit for clients within established marketing guidelines.
  • Lead the renewal process by preparing applications and submissions.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing and renewal strategies, working directly with account teams and carrier representatives.
  • Utilize client management systems and other technology platforms to track progress and document interactions efficiently.
  • Maintain continuous professional development through attendance at seminars and carrier meetings.
  • Mentor colleagues and provide backup support to account teams.
  • Remain adaptable to other duties as assigned by management.
