About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking an Insurance Marketing Analyst Lead for their Employee Health & Benefits division. The successful candidate will act as a key resource, analyzing client needs and providing well-supported recommendations on coverage and marketing strategies. They will collaborate closely with Producers to support sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with insurance carriers. Staying informed on market trends and risk transfer alternatives is essential, as is coordinating with local leadership to align line-of-business strategies and promote best practices. The analyst will skillfully negotiate pricing and policy terms with carriers, ensuring optimal client fit within established marketing guidelines. Responsibilities also include leading the renewal process by preparing applications and submissions, and supporting the development and execution of marketing and renewal strategies in direct collaboration with account teams and carrier representatives. The role requires efficient utilization of client management systems and other technology platforms for tracking progress and documenting interactions. Continuous professional development through seminars and carrier meetings, mentoring colleagues, and providing backup support to account teams are also key aspects of this position. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience with at least five years in the insurance industry
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance markets, policies, and coverage issues across all states and industries served
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage workload, guide teams, and foster a productive, service-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion abilities to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and motivate staff
  • High level of discretion and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Accept accountability for the quality of work

Nice To Haves

  • Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Advanced degree(s)
  • Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license(s)
  • Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects
