About The Position
The Insurance Analyst analyzes insurance medical necessity requirements and benefits to ensure requirements are met for claims to be submitted according to IH's standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
Requirements
- Demonstrates written, interpersonal, or communication skills as appropriate to the position.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and explain insurance requirements and benefits.
- Working knowledge of insurance regulations, billing procedures, and diagnosis coding.
- Working knowledge of automated UB92 and/or HCFA 1500 billing.
- Working knowledge of hospital registration procedures.
