About The Position
Horace Mann is hiring an Exclusive Insurance Agent to help educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security. The agent will build and manage an agency, develop a network and client relationships, and present insurance and financial products to individuals and groups. The position offers performance-based 1099 compensation and support intended to help agents establish and grow their business, including a dedicated Service Representative, an exclusive territory, technology, training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. An external office is not required for the first two years.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong business management skills.
- Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
- Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

- 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
