About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Agent in Middletown, Delaware. The agent will build and manage an insurance agency focused on serving educators, helping them find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security. The role involves developing market access and relationships, presenting products to groups and individuals, and networking in the community and industry. A dedicated Premier Service Representative handles client service work so the agent can focus on growing the business. Horace Mann provides a multiline product portfolio, technology, training, and market and relationship-building programs to support the agent’s operations. Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with activity- and success-based earning incentives and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong business management skills.
Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.
