About The Position

Hawx Pest Control is seeking an Insulation Service Professional for a hybrid sales and service role. The role can flex based on workload, with the goal of focusing primarily on closing sales. The professional will sell specialty services—including German cockroach, bed bug, termite, rodent, exclusion, and insulation services where available—as well as general pest control, outdoor packages, and other ancillary services. The position involves explaining insect biology and behavior, identifying specialty pest infestations, building value during the sales process, generating revenue, and delivering professional customer service while following a daily service schedule. This is a full-time position paying $20.00 per hour. The role includes insulation installation and removal, pest-control treatments, energy audits and recommendations, inspections, sales, customer follow-up, recordkeeping, and safe operation and care of company-issued equipment and vehicles. Work may take place in crawl spaces, attics, on rooftops, and in confined areas.

Requirements

Must pass the required background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
Must work well in the presence of all pests.
Must be able to bend, lift, sit, stretch, reach, and crouch.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and able to manage time and responsibilities effectively.
Must communicate clearly, listen actively, adapt communication to different audiences, and work well with people across teams and departments.
Must be proficient with commonly used documents and software, including word processing and spreadsheets, and able to learn new software in a fast-paced environment.
Must demonstrate problem-solving, attention to detail, operational efficiency, task management, and organizational skills.
Must be able to prioritize multiple workflows and complete tasks on time.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Google Workspace tools.
Experience with task management software such as Asana.
Physical labor experience, including working in outside conditions.

Responsibilities

Install fiberglass, cellulose, and spray-foam insulation by reading blueprints or specifications, cutting materials around obstacles, and securing them with staples, tape, or screws.
Apply vapor barriers and insulation to walls, ducts, pipes, and other surfaces while meeting safety regulations and energy-efficiency standards.
Remove and dispose of old insulation in accordance with environmental and health guidelines.
Perform pest-control treatments using environmentally responsible products and follow label instructions and proper mixing, safety, and application protocols.
Conduct energy audits, recommend solutions, and support sales efforts to improve customer efficiency and satisfaction.
Work safely in crawl spaces, attics, on rooftops, and in confined areas; climb ladders and navigate different types of structures.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, services performed, and customer communications.
Care for company-issued tools, equipment, vehicle, and gas card.
Follow up with customers after services to confirm satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities.
Respond promptly to leads, conduct inspections, close sales, and process work using handheld devices and software platforms.
Deliver professional customer service and communicate information about insect biology, behaviors, and specialty pest infestations.
Perform job duties safely, follow safety policies and procedures, and reinforce a culture of safety within the team.
