About The Position

Hawx Pest Control is a technology-driven company that provides pest management using state-of-the-art equipment and environmentally conscious products. The Insulation Service Professional role combines sales and service, with responsibilities adjusted according to workload and an ultimate focus on closing sales. The position supports sales of specialty services—including German cockroach, bed bug, termite, rodent, exclusion, and insulation services where available—as well as general pest control, outdoor packages, and other ancillary services. The professional communicates knowledgeably about insect biology and behavior, identifies specialty pest infestations, builds value during the sales process, generates revenue, and provides excellent customer service while following a daily service schedule. The role includes installing and removing insulation, performing pest control treatments, conducting energy audits, inspecting properties, responding to sales leads, closing sales, and following up with customers. Work may take place in crawl spaces, attics, rooftops, confined areas, and outdoors. This is a full-time position paying $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must pass the required background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
Must be comfortable working in the presence of all pests.
Must have physical labor experience, including work in outdoor conditions.
Must be able to bend, lift, sit, stretch, reach, and crouch.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Proficiency with commonly used documents and software, including word processing and spreadsheets, and ability to learn new software in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize understanding problems, attend to details, and identify areas for improvement.
Ability to understand operational processes and workflow optimization.
Ability to collaborate across departments and coordinate with stakeholders.
Ability to use task management software such as Asana to organize, track, prioritize, and complete routine tasks.
Strong organization and time-management skills to manage multiple workflows and complete tasks on time.
Reliability, punctuality, and ability to manage tasks and responsibilities.
Positive, adaptable interpersonal approach and ability to build working relationships across departments.
Strong communication and listening skills, including adapting communication to different audiences and incorporating feedback.

Responsibilities

Install fiberglass, cellulose, and spray-foam insulation by interpreting blueprints or specifications, cutting material around obstacles, and securing it with staples, tape, or screws.
Apply vapor barriers and insulation to walls, ducts, pipes, and other surfaces in compliance with safety regulations and energy-efficiency standards.
Remove and dispose of old insulation according to environmental and health guidelines.
Perform pest control treatments with environmentally responsible products, following label instructions and proper mixing, safety, and application protocols.
Conduct energy audits, recommend solutions, and support sales efforts to improve customer efficiency and satisfaction.
Work safely in crawl spaces, attics, on rooftops, in confined areas, and across different structure types; climb ladders as needed.
Maintain accurate records of materials, services performed, and customer communications.
Care for company-issued tools, equipment, vehicle, and gas card.
Follow up with customers after services to check satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities.
Respond promptly to leads, conduct inspections, close sales, and process work using handheld devices and software platforms.
Perform job duties safely, adhere to safety policies and procedures, and reinforce a team culture of safety.
