Requirements

  • 4+ years of Instrument Fitter experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with stainless steel tubing installation
  • Experience with tube bending and fabrication
  • Experience with pneumatic instrumentation systems
  • Experience with instrument supports and tubing layout
  • Experience with industrial process equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to read and interpret General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Knowledge of instrumentation end devices
  • Knowledge of valves
  • Knowledge of gauges
  • Knowledge of transmitters
  • Knowledge of process flow systems
  • Strong math, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial manufacturing or fabrication experience
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
  • Technical or vocational training related to instrumentation

Responsibilities

  • Install and route stainless steel pneumatic tubing for industrial equipment and process systems
  • Layout tubing on equipment skids according to engineering drawings
  • Install tubing to valves, transmitters, gauges, regulators, and other instrumentation devices
  • Bend and fabricate 1/4"–1/2" stainless steel tubing with precision
  • Fabricate instrument supports, brackets, braces, and tubing racks
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and engineering specifications
  • Verify proper tubing routing, alignment, and installation before final inspection
  • Perform tubing layout and assembly according to quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures
  • Participate in safety meetings and perform additional duties as assigned
