About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for COSC 2P05 - Programming Languages for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation is $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally), effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time including lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or related discipline. Senior doctoral candidates will be considered if no qualified applicants are found.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Computer Science.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
