About The Position

Management & Training Corporation operates the New Orleans Job Corps Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Instructor, Trade Substitute provides career technical instruction using approved curricula and offers students training, basic guidance, and direction to support their academic goals. The position is scheduled as needed, Monday through Friday, and pays $197.28 per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience in the trade for which the candidate will substitute.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students regarding behavior, training, personal problems, and study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines; recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.
