About The Position

The Electrical Trade Instructor supports Amteck's commitment to employee development by delivering technical and professional training across the organization. The role provides classroom instruction, field-based training, and curriculum support to help employees and apprentices develop skills for long-term success. The instructor serves as a resource for apprentices, collaborates with field leadership to identify training needs, and helps align training programs with Amteck's operational goals and core values.

The position includes travel to project sites and regional offices to provide training and support employee development. The instructor promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Ability to travel frequently between job sites and offices.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing others.

Nice To Haves

• Experience delivering training, mentoring, or instructional content.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and field-based training.
• Teach the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical theory, and hands-on skills labs.
• Support apprentices through instruction, mentoring, feedback, and performance documentation.
• Facilitate study groups, review sessions, and test preparation workshops.
• Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and curriculum.
• Travel to project sites and regional offices to provide training and support employee development.
• Collaborate with field leaders to identify training opportunities and recommend solutions.
• Track attendance, engagement, and learning outcomes.
• Support onboarding, technical upskilling, and professional development initiatives.
• Stay current on industry best practices, code changes, and emerging technologies.
• Promote Amteck's culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
