About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), a multi-campus institution in Upstate NY, is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Faculty team. This full-time, probationary, tenure-track position is for the Spring 2027 semester in the Department of Nursing and Surgical Technology. Teaching assignments may include weekend, evening, and online components. Requirements

Associates Degree in Surgical Assisting./Surgical Technology from an accredited college or university or a Registered Nurse.
Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
A minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.

Previous experience and/or desire to engage in distance learning initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction in Surgical Technology Courses.
Evaluate Student performance.
Participation on departmental, division wide, and College wide committee for the purpose of building community.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty contract.
