About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Faculty team. This full-time probationary position is for the Spring 2027 semester, with teaching assignments potentially including weekend, evening, and online. The college, founded in 1953 and located in scenic Upstate NY, offers over 80 degree and certificate programs and serves nearly 9,000 students annually. Requirements

Master’s Degree in economics or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Previous college teaching experience.
Ability to teach on campus classes.
Must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience teaching online, hybrid, and in person classes.
Experience teaching macroeconomics and microeconomics.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction in economics courses at the 100 and 200 level.
Teach in other department areas as needed.
Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide initiatives.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
