About The Position
Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Faculty team. This position is for the Spring 2027 semester in Troy, New York, within the Department of Education and Social Sciences. The role involves teaching psychology courses at the 100 and 200 level, with potential to teach in other department areas as needed. Responsibilities include evaluating student performance, completing assessments, and participating in departmental and college-wide initiatives. Teaching assignments may include weekend, evening, and online formats. Requirements
- Master’s Degree in psychology or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Previous college teaching experience.
- Ability to teach on campus classes.
- Must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching online, hybrid, and in person classes.
- Experience teaching introductory psychology courses.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in psychology courses at the 100 and 200 level.
- Teach in other department areas as needed.
- Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
- Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide initiatives.
- At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
