About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course Popular Music and Society. The focus of this course is a critical examination of popular music in its social, cultural, political and economic contexts. Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty). Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Requirements

  • PhD in Political Science
  • Evidence of active research interest in the area of politics and popular music studies
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in the area of politics and popular music studies

Responsibilities
